A lot of people left the 30th Higgins Lake Foundation “Awareness Day” with more than they came in with! $10,000 in cash prizes, a live auction, a silent auction and lots of door prizes were carried out of the R.A. MacMullan Center on Saturday, August 03. Profits from the annual HLF fund raiser are used to support the Diver Assisted Suction Harvester Boat, educational programs for youth and adults, mailers and projects that support the health of Higgins Lake.
This year’s cash prize winners were: Rob Perry $3,000. Diane McDoniel $2,000, Sue Fabian $1,000.00, Val Smith $500.00, Theresa Blamer $500.00, Henry Holland $500.00, Mike Munden $500.00, Lee McDoniel $500.00, R.J. Bolzman $500.00, Theresa Korn $250.00, Jackie Guerra $250.00, Steve Reidy $250.00 and Jill Baker $250.00. $400.00 from the 50-50 drawing went to Ann Bruce.
