The Higgins Lake Foundation, in partnership with Huron Pines, is hosting a free Greenbelt Seminar at the R.A. MacMullan Center on June 02 from 10:00am to 11:30am.
Jennifer Mulladore, Huron Pines Lake ecologist, will present information on plants native to our area.
Native plants will benefit our gardens as they easily thrive in local conditions. If you live on the lake-front, an added bonus of native vegetation is the protection from erosion the root system will provide and also serve as a filtration system of nutrients. There will be morning coffee served and a drawing for door prizes. A native plant sale will immediately follow the presentation. To register leave a message with the HLF office 989 275-9183 or email info@nullwww.higginslake-foundation.org.
